Loovy.ca is a free online classified advertising platform that allows homeowners and individuals (“Users”) to browse and respond to advertisements posted by independent trade professionals and service providers (“Advertisers”) such as plumbers, electricians, painters, and general contractors across Canada.
⚠️ IMPORTANT — What Loovy.ca IS and IS NOT:
Loovy.ca operates exclusively as a classified ads board — We are NOT a service marketplace, employment platform, or contractor agency. We do NOT employ, vet, contract, or manage any trade professional listed on this Platform. We do NOT process payments between Users and Advertisers. All contact, negotiation, and transactions happen directly and independently between Users and Advertisers — Loovy.ca is not a party to any such interaction.
2. SCOPE & APPLICABLE LAW
This Privacy Policy explains how Loovy.ca collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information in compliance with:

5. CLASSIFIED ADS — IMPORTANT PRIVACY NOTICE
🔔 Loovy.ca is a public classified ads board.
When an Advertiser (trade professional) creates a listing on Loovy.ca, the following information becomes publicly visible to all visitors of the Platform:
- Business or display name
- City and province
- Service category
- Ad description and photos
- Hourly rate or pricing information
- Rating and reviews received
Advertisers are solely responsible for what personal information they choose to include in their public listings. Loovy.ca strongly advises Advertisers not to include sensitive personal information (home address, personal phone numbers, financial details) in public ad content.
When a homeowner contacts an Advertiser through the Platform’s messaging system, both parties share contact information directly with each other — Loovy.ca is not a party to and takes no responsibility for those communications or any resulting transaction.
6. SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Loovy.ca does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We may share limited personal information only in these specific circumstances:
6.1 Service Providers (Processors)
We use trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements:

If we become aware that a minor has registered on the Platform, we will immediately delete their account and all associated data. Advertisers on Loovy.ca may include links to their own websites or provide direct contact information (email, phone number) in their listings. Loovy.ca has no control over and takes no responsibility for the privacy practices or content of any third-party website or direct communication channel. We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
13. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Loovy.ca stores and processes all data on servers located in Canada. In the event any service provider processes data outside Canada, we ensure appropriate contractual safeguards are in place in compliance with PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25.
14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
Loovy.ca reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make significant changes, we will:
